What is a deductible?

The deductible is the amount you must pay out-of-pocket for covered expenses before reimbursements can be paid.   Our plans have annual deductibles, meaning it must only be paid once per plan period (12 months) for each pet. A deductible does not need to be met unless you have filed claims for reimbursement, and does not apply to preventive care. You can choose a plan with annual deductible amounts of $100, $250 or $500. Increasing your deductible will lower your monthly premium, but will require you to pay more out of pocket each year if something should occur.
